Leveraging our personal experiences and our professional expertise, The Hite Law Group offers a variety of training programs and resources to help ensure that all service providers have the knowledge and skills to provide the same quality of care for their LGBTQ clients and community members. These are just some of the training programs we offer at this time.

LGBTQ 101

This introductory training is a great way to introduce LGBTQ issues to your team, or to give everyone a quick refresher. Participants will learn appropriate and respectful vocabulary, some basic demographic background about the LGBTQ community, and some simple ways to better connect and serve LGBTQ individuals.

Train-the-Trainer

For an organization that is really committed to developing sustainable best practices for their LGBTQ clients, having an in-house trainer is a great idea. This program gives participants extensivehands-on experience guiding conversations. This training is best suited for organizations that have had a 101 training in the last year.

Assessment and Policy Development

The first step in improving services is measuring the value of existing services. This consulting service allows us to survey an organization to assess any room for  improvement that may exist in policies and practices. Then we work together to develop effective policies and practices that comply with all relevant non-discrimination laws.

These are just some of the many tailor-made cultural competency training programs we can offer your organization. All of our cultural competency trainings are field-specific to ensure the content is relevant and meaningful to our clients. We can also develop print or online resources for distribution by your organization to your team or your clients. Like any other clients, we consider your organizations budget when developing our fees. Contact us to become a new client and get the support your organization needs to best serve your LGBTQ clients.
